Elin Menzies is a visionary artist who believes art provides spiritual oxygen for the earth. Her work deals with the connections between people, animals, nature and spirit.
Menzies studied painting at Bennington College, the University of Hawaii and the Art Students League. She has exhibited widely in solo and group shows and is an award winning painter. Her work is included in private and public collections.
Her body of work includes paintings, monoprints, cut-out collages and assemblage sculpture.
Menzies is the author of a children’s picture book, Taking Katy for a Nightride, that is used in environmental programs in schools in the United States and Japan. She worked as an art critic for the Woodstock Times and is the recipient of an American Pen Women short story award.
